Systems-Driven Growth
This framework is a work-in-progress.
It’s based on my own personal experience, as well as curiosity about key topics that have been developed & refined by individuals much smarter than me.
In fact, you may end up recognizing many incredible concepts (like little puzzle pieces) that have long since existed - but that I’ve collected, analyzed and then synthesized into a specific process (that is in continual evolution & refinement).

WHAT IS SYSTEMS-DRIVEN GROWTH?
There are already several growth frameworks to choose from:
- Founder-Led Growth
- Product-Led Growth
- Community-Led Growth
- Etc
Why would we need another?
Any of these previously mentioned frameworks are a great way to get started. But each on can become a bit like a blinder at a certain point.
Without some careful adjustment,
There are two key quotes - both by author James Clear - that I often come back to:
"Systems are for people who care about winning repeatedly. Goals are for people who care about winning once." - James Clear
“You do not rise to the level of your goals. You fall to the level of your systems.” -James Clear
Within both of these quotes, there is an important mindset to develop: the system.
System Thinking (and many related fields) are disciplines that have long existed and in my opinion, haven’t been leveraged enough - although IDEO which popularized Design Thinking has also contributed a great deal here.
“A system is an interconnected set of elements that is coherently organized in a way that achieves something.” - Dana Meadows
Systems thinking looks at connected wholes rather than separate parts.
And so, Systems-Driven Growth (SDG) is a method of analyzing or designing a business to support scalable growth.

FUTURENATIVE - THINK BETTER. BUILD BETTER.
I very occasionally send out an email recapping some thoughts, learnings and ideas typically centred around a thesis & approach I call being “FUTURENATIVE”.
In short, the thesis states: FUTURENATIVE individuals and organization find a unique way to leverage apparent tensions and blend both discovery & execution work, in order to unlock massive impact.

Where does the concept of Systems-Driven Growth (SDG) come from?
SDG is like a toolbox.
I’ve collected, curated and designed a process that uses different tools.
Many of the most interesting parts of the framework stem from the work of other brilliant thinkers & entrepreneurs - all to which I am deeply indebted and greatly deeply admire.
I always credit their hard work for others to explore and re-interpret in their own ways!
Here are just a few of my favorite resources that have become pieces of my toolbox (you can also find some of these in my Library):
