The Disney story is one with many twists and turns.
Robert Iger was Disney's CEO for 15+ years and oversaw one of the greatest comebacks & dominant periods not only of Disney's existence, but of corporate America's.
Not quite an autobiography, not quite a leadership book; Iger does what Disney always did best - tell a compelling story.
Iger covered the core elements he's most known for - the acquisition of Pixar (while interweaving fond memories of Steve Jobs), the Marvel acquisition, Lucas Film from Star Wars creator George Lucas, as well as 20th Century Fox - while also diving into his backstory and some personal life along the way.
Highly recommended and easy to read with tons of great takeaways.

GENERAL
- Don’t let your ego get in the way of making the best possible decision.
- As with everything, the key is awareness, taking it all in and weighing every factor - your own motivations, what the people you trust are saying, what careful study and analysis tell you, and then what analysis can’t tell you. [...] but you also have to recognize that there is never 100 percent certainty. No matter how much data you’ve been given, it’s still, ultimately, a risk, and the decision to take that risk or not comes down to one person’s instinct.
